Peggy's place is wonderful. The views from the deck of Mt. Shasta and Lake Shastina are stellar. And the stars, moonlight, and frog symphony at night were beautiful too. The house was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of cozy blankets and lovely spaces in the house to hang out. I would highly recommend it as a vacation destination! A great stay with friends! The pictures don't do this place justice. The views are unbelievable! The porch was amazing and had the best views of Mt.

Yasuko's cabin is an authentic log cabin planed and joined cedar logs with wood-burning stove and all basic modern amenities. It was a perfect fit for our family of four but could also comfortably sleep six if you use the sofa bed in the living room. The bedding was comfortable and the kitchen, though somewhat limited, is perfectly suitable for preparing basic meals. Access to Everitt Memorial Highway and all of Mt.
Shasta's backcountry opportunities is practically right out the door. The ski area is about a 25 minute drive. Yasuko was quick to reply to all of our questions and even checked in with us via text during our stay.

We have two cabins on one acre of land. The property has many mature oak trees, and we're starting to grow fruit trees and a vegetable garden. It's a beautiful place to see hawks, blue jays, quail, and wild flowers. Also, a short drive to Siskiyou Lake with fishing, swimming, and kayak rentals. Ten minute walk to the Peace Garden. Twenty minute drive to Stewart Mineral Springs for sauna, mineral bath, and massage.
